What I made for Christmas Dinner

One of my favorite partners is Broth - a Taiwanese style restaurant in Walnut, California. If you stop by, don’t forget to try them!

I used their products to complete an East-meets-West Christmas dinner. The flavors turned out really well, let’s start looking!

1. (Beef Bourguignon) Beef Stew

I'm new to this dish and it turned out to be very charming, between the sweet and salty flavors of red wine and chocolate. It's definitely a mouth-watering meal, perfect for Valentine's Day too!

2.Green Bean Casserole with Braised Pork

I must say, this is one of my favorite American Christmas dishes, and I love the combination of green beans and cream. So I have to cook it every year!

3. Beef Bone Broth Mushroom Gravy

Who doesn't need Mushroom Gravy for Christmas? I used generous pieces of mushrooms with beef bone broth to make a delicious Mushroom Gravy. But I didn't make mashed potatoes this time, I chose a healthier pairing with baked potatoes. I like it this way - a much lighter option!

4. Cheese Pasta with Braised Wagyu

Later I learned that Mac & Cheese is part of a Christmas meal in many parts of the United States. I personally like pasta with such rich cheese, and comfort food is always indispensable for festive meals!

5. Sweet Potato Golden Salad

Christmas dinner absolutely isn’t complete without an amazing salad! This time, I created a taste of Taiwan mixed with a Japanese style salad. I'm not always a salad person but I would love to eat this one often! I haven’t seen this video on Broth's Instagram yet, but if you want to know how I make this dish, follow them on Instagram!

6. Sweet Potato Casserole with Marshmallows

It’s also a Christmas dessert that amazes me! Who would have imagined that marshmallows meeting sweet potatoes would be such an earth-shattering experience? I would choose Sweet Potato Casserole with Marshmallows over ice cream in this battle!

All right! I am full now! Everything for this meal is pleasingly matched. If you are a person who likes to try new flavors, you must try these dishes!

See ya next time! xo
