Homemade crispy crust pancake dipped in Turkish Cacik

The weather has been really hot recently and I just wanted to have some refreshing food. A former colleague shared this delicious Turkish Cacik sauce. I finally had the chance to try it, and it was amazing!

I used the dough ingredients from the Taiwanese popular street food called ”Green Onion Pancake“ without adding the green onions. I made a crispy crust pancake and dipped it with Turkish Cacik (Yogurt and cucumber dip). It was a perfect combination!

Turkish Cacik Sauce Ingredients:

2 small cucumbers, 2 cloves garlic, Some dill chopped together in blender

Mix with 10 oz yogurt, add a little bit of salt to taste and drizzle olive oil for garnish

Crispy Crust Pancake Ingredients:

Mix 400g all-purpose flour with 270g room temperature water. Knead into a ball.

Divide into 6 equal parts and roll into balls. Cover and wait for 20 mins.

Roll each ball flat. Add some salt to taste and some vegetable oil.

Roll each into long strips and twist. Form twist into a ball.

Roll ball flat and thick. Then fry in pan until golden brown on both sides.

I used the sauce for salad and also pita wraps with ground sausage and it tastes so good! The sauce was a very refreshing taste for summer season foods. We love it!

I hope you enjoy it,

See ya next time! xo
